TIPS FOR LAWN CARE:
- Always keep your mower blades sharp. Only the outward 1/4 inch of
the blade does the cutting on rotary mowers. Fractured or shredded looking
grass blade tips is the sign of a dull blade.
- Grass does not respond well to changes in mowing height. Do not
lower the mower at all during the year if possible, abrupt changes can be
detrimental for your sod.
- Change the direction of mowing every third or fourth cut. This will
help ensure an even cut.
- Never remove more than 1/3 of the leaf blade during a single mowing.
Cutting too much off the plant will send it into shock.
- Mow when grass height reaches 2 1/3" to 3".
- Set your mower at a cutting height of 1 ½" to 2".
